Driver CPC
La CQC è riconosciuta automaticamente all'interno dell'Unione Europea e dello Spazio Economico Europeo (SEE). I conducenti extracomunitari che lavorano per un'impresa UE devono, in generale, ottenere la CQC europea.

Who must have the CPC
- EU/EEA citizens:
All citizens of European Union or European Economic Area countries must have a CPC to drive vehicles for which one of the following licences is required: C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D1E, D, DE, even in the case of own-account transport, if driving is the main activity.
- Non-EU citizens:
Third-country nationals working for companies established in an EU Member State must also hold a CPC issued by an EU country.
EU CPC vs. non-EU CPC
The CPC issued by EU/EEA countries is fully valid and automatically recognised in Italy and other EU/EEA countries.
On the contrary, CPC issued by non-EU countries are not directly recognised for driving vehicles belonging to European companies: it is necessary to obtain a CPC issued by an EU country.
Below is a clear comparison between EU CPC and non-EU CPC:
EU/EEA CPC
- Valid throughout the EU
- Automatic recognition
- For EU/EEA citizens
NON-EU CPC
- Not directly recognised
- EU CPC required
- EU driving licence required first
How to obtain it for drivers with non-EU citizenship only
Hold a C or D licence from any EU country:
The driver must first obtain a driving licence from one of the EU countries, possibly through conversion if there is a bilateral agreement with their country of origin.
Obtain the Slovenian Driver CPC:
Next, they must obtain the Slovenian CPC, which is obtained by attending a training course and passing an exam in a few days. This document is valid and recognised throughout the EU.
